From the volcanic slopes of Monte Amiata in southern Tuscany, this Riserva represents one of Italy's emerging appellations: Montecucco DOC, where Sangiovese-based wines benefit from altitude (150-400 meters), lava-rich soils, and breezes from both central Italy and the Tyrrhenian coast. The blend is 80% Sangiovese with Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in large oak.
