Rene Rostaing Cote-Rotie Cote Blonde 2023 [NET]
The most ethereal wine in the Rostaing portfolio—and the hardest to find. Only about 350 cases are produced from the oldest vines (70+ years) on the pale granite and gneiss of Côte Blonde. Where Côte Brune is dark, dense, and iron-rich, Côte Blonde is silky, floral, and luminous—lighter siliceous soils produce a wine of extraordinary elegance. René Rostaing inherited prized parcels from Marius Gentaz and Albert Dervieux; his son Pierre now manages the estate. Aged in mostly older French oak (10–15% new). A collector's wine that rewards decades of patience.
