Lemorton Vintage Calvados 1980
A 1980 vintage from Didier Lemorton's family operation in the Domfrontais region of Normandy—over four decades in barrel. Like all Lemorton spirits, this is pear-forward (approximately 70% pear, 30% apple), single-distilled on a wood-fired copper column still, and naturally fermented. The extended aging transforms the fresh fruit character into something deeper: dried fruit, aged wood, oxidative complexity, and a concentration that only decades of slow evaporation can produce. A rare window into how great Calvados evolves over a lifetime.
