From scattered parcels circled by garrigue at 300 meters on extraordinarily complex limestone and dolomite soils, La Migoua is about half Mourvèdre filled out with Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah. Dense and wildly perfumed on the nose with black cherry, warm spices, and smoked meat, the palate reveals dark plum, blackberry compote, and earthy undertones with a soft, juicy core. Hand-selected clusters de-stemmed, fermented for 3-4 weeks in concrete with indigenous yeasts, then aged 18+ months in large oak casks.
