The hottest vintage ever recorded in France became a blessing for Château Margaux, which harvested September 18–October 10 and produced an extraordinary wine. This blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot stuns with layered complexity and a penetrating saline finish. The 2019 is full-bodied yet sensual, its ripe, powdery tannins framing a strikingly vibrant core of fruit with mouthwatering acidity. Utterly compelling and destined for the cellar.
