Canalicchio di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino 2021
From one of the twelve founding members of the Brunello di Montalcino Consorzio (1967). Canalicchio di Sopra was established by Primo Pacenti in 1962; today third-generation Francesco Ripaccioli oversees 19 vineyards across two crus. This Brunello blends fruit from two distinct terroirs: clay-rich Canalicchio and mineral-laden 'galestro' soils from Montosoli, 50/50. Grapes are hand-selected one at a time. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with 25 days of maceration. A cellar renovation in 2018 modernized production while maintaining the estate's traditional soul.
